Offered is a vintage first-generation Vulcain Cricket, the world’s first serially produced alarm wristwatch, dating from the 1940s–1950s. The Vulcain Cricket is an icon of Swiss watchmaking history and famously known as “The Watch of Presidents” due to its use by several U.S. presidents.
This early example features the classic hand-wound mechanical alarm movement, producing the distinctive and powerful “cricket” alarm sound that made the model legendary.
The watch is in good condition considering its age, with honest signs of wear consistent with a true vintage timepiece. Importantly, all parts are original, and both the timekeeping and alarm functions operate correctly.
