Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder is the former WBC heavyweight world champion.
Wilder held the heavyweight title from 2015 to 2020 and defensed the belt ten times successfully. In 2015, Wilder became the first American heavyweight world champion since 2007, the longest gap in which an American did not hold the heavyweight title.
In 2020, Wilder lost the WBC belt in a rematch to Ring Magazine champion Tyson Fury, after he had retained the belt in their first fight in 2018 via a draw. Wilder failed to reclaim the title from Fury through a knockout defeat in a trilogy bout in 2021.
