Here is an interesting side table with a dynamic design, inspired by Italian classical furniture of the 17th century, but of more recent manufacture. The piece stands out for its legs shaped like a lyre with decorative carvings at the feet and base, which give it a dynamic and elongated look.
Constructive analysis and materials:
The small table is made with a combination of solid wood (for the legs and profiles) and veneered panels (as visible from the underside in the close-up photos), all finished with a dark walnut tone that enhances its form. The top is finished with an elegant owl-brow edge.
Condition report:
The item presents itself in good vintage condition, solid and stable.
Defects: It shows slight signs of wear consistent with age. As highlighted by the macro photos, there are a few small abrasions on the finish (color loss along the edges of the legs and on the lower shelf) and minor surface scratches on the top.
Technical note: The underside shows the natural wooden structure and the joints typical of artisanal production of the period.
