Beautiful service bell in patinated bronze or brass, topped with a figurine of a Chinese sage (long beard, hands clasped, traditional robe) serving as the plunger.
Flared bell finely chased: motifs of clouds, stylized grasses, birds and decorative oriental friezes typical. Original clapper.
Dimensions: Total height 15 cm – Base diameter 9 cm.
Sound: Exceptional – clear, deep and resonant tone.
Condition: Very good, authentic homogeneous patina, minimal signs of wear, no cracks or repairs.
Period: Late 19th – early 20th century, export Chinese / Orientalist style.
