Description from the seller
Michael Fantozzi is an international artist and the original creator of the sarcastic clay fish that are taking the world by storm. From his celebrated artistic research comes now “Little Light Fish,” a new series of LED-lit artworks: unique sculptures that combine craftsmanship, light, and visual poetry. Each piece is entirely handmade without the use of molds, making every creation unreproducible. Made with high-quality materials—from clay to acrylics, up to zircons that lend light and value—Fantozzi’s works are now sold and collected worldwide. Each artwork is titled, numbered, and signed, and comes with the corresponding certificate of authenticity. It is provided complete with a plexiglass-framed frame and is ready to be hung. Shipping is carried out with protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport. Large-scale works have been exhibited at the Milan Biennale, the Rome Biennale, the Florence Biennale, and in numerous shows across Europe. The artist has also been awarded at Montecitorio as Italian Excellence Abroad (Eccellenza Italiana all’Estero), a recognition that testifies to the international impact of his work. His creations carry a powerful and timely message about pollution, particularly marine pollution. Through his fish decorated with symbolic objects such as cigarettes, chewing gum, bottles, and musical instruments, the artist gives a voice to marine animals, silent victims of human impact. The visual language is ironic, provocative, and deeply reflective, inviting an urgent and necessary awareness. Discover more at www.michaelfantozzi.com or at www.instagram.com/michaelfantozzi
