Description from the seller

"Over the Top" – Limited edition (100 copies) - New collection 2026
Edition number: 04/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
300 g art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included

In Over the Top, SKE distorts Donald, the perfect embodiment of clumsiness and excess. While trying to uncork a bottle of Dom Pérignon, the celebration goes awry: the cork comes back at him, right into the eye.

Everything is there: luxury, a moment of glory, and the immediate fall. Champagne symbolizes success, but the poorly controlled euphoria turns the party into a visual gag. The more prestigious, the funnier the fall.

With humor and irony, SKE plays with the idea that luxury doesn’t make you more elegant, just more exposed. Even the very high end doesn’t prevent mistakes, especially when you go too far.

Pop art vibe, street energy, projections and splashes emphasize this sense of uncontrollable excess.

A lightweight and ironic work, where luxury explodes… and falls back down immediately.

"Over the Top" is a vibrant and joyful piece, designed for collectors who love pop art, reimagined comics, and works that tell a story.

A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a highlight of your collection.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who has grown up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.

He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Discovery of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has made his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style that has now become indispensable.

SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to initiate or enrich a collection with rising value.

Renowned & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY The work of SKE sits within a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to distort the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed shapes to bring them into a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey Mouse or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the mythical Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superhero stable. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the aesthetic of "Hype": sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, TAG Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textures that evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your home.
