- The artist’s note: Why did I want to create a rapprochement between Banksy’s "Flower Thrower" and Nike? after all, the two worlds are very different in their nature.
Banksy’s "Flower Thrower" symbolizes the struggle for social justice and freedom of expression, two values that are also important to Nike. Over the years, Nike has supported several campaigns for social justice and has encouraged athletes to use their fame to have their say and defend causes close to their hearts.
Ultimately, although the two are different in their DNA and approach, there are parallels between Banksy’s "Flower Thrower" and the Nike brand, notably their commitment to self-expression, challenging societal norms, promoting social justice, and freedom of expression. SKE
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a French self-taught, versatile artist who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with a double reading, merge the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s profile has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as the “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of pop culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a now-essential style.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with growing value.
Acclaimed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY: SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they reinvent classics, not hesitating to rework the Mona Lisa by da Vinci, Vermeer’s Young Woman, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to face a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA: Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy universe to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMPTION SOCIETY: In a style sometimes recalling Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, TAG Heuer), not forgetting mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes reminiscent of Jeff Koons’ glossy surfaces or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior."
