Seiko Laurel, reference 4M21-0C40, produced in 2000–2010, with a gold-plated 36 mm case, white dial, ceramic band, movement listed as Other, and in very good condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Presented for your consideration is a rare artifact of Japanese horological innovation: the Seiko Laurel Fine Ceramics. Released in October 2007 exclusively for the Japanese Domestic Market, this timepiece represents a unique collaboration between Seiko’s watchmaking pedigree and Kyocera’s expertise in advanced materials.
The case and bracelet are crafted from a proprietary Titanium-Ceramic alloy, offering a high-gloss, scratch-resistant finish that remains as sharp today as it was in 2007. The aesthetic is anchored by a stunning white dial featuring a traditional Japanese floral motif, a subtle nod to the "Laurel" heritage that began with Japan's first wristwatch in 1913.
Case & Bracelet: The Kyocera ceramic construction is virtually pristine, showing the material's legendary resistance to wear.
Clasp & Caseback: Being pure titanium (softer than the ceramic alloy), there are visible desk-diving scratches on the clasp and light marks on the caseback consistent with daily use.
Crystal: The Sapphire crystal is flawless.
Mechanical: The Kinetic movement is working perfectly, holding a robust 50-hour power reserve on its capacitor, on a full wound.
Technical Specifications
Dimensions: A classic 34.5mm diameter, 39mm lug-to-lug, and an ultra-slim 8mm profile.
Case: Black Kyocera Ceramic/Titanium alloy with polished chamfers and satin-finished surfaces.
Dial: White with a "Manual Finish" floral pattern and gold-tone accents.
Crown: Onyx cabochon.
Movement: Seiko Kinetic (Capacitor-driven, no battery changes required).
Lugs: Drilled lugs for effortless strap changes.
Fitment: The integrated bracelet is currently sized for a 16cm (approx. 6.3 inch) wrist.
Collector's Note
This is not your standard vintage Seiko. Between the onyx cabochon crown, the two-tone gold-plated bezel, and the drilled lugs, it is a masterclass in "hidden" luxury. It wears with the elegance of a luxury brand but carries the soul of Japanese engineering.
All my watches come with insured&tracked shipping. No EU customs fees but they might apply outside of the EU, depending on your ZIP code and are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Happy bidding!
