Description from the seller
Willie Berkers is a typical representative of the School of Dutch Realists after 1950. For more than 25 years he has been a talented practitioner of contemporary realist art, with his own studio and gallery.
Willie Berkers has been painting landscapes and still lifes for years. He has mainly drawn inspiration from his surroundings: the Peel. With his sandy lanes lined with birch trees, the meadow fields, and the Dommel. He has developed into a painter of still lifes who is sublime in the way light from his objects almost becomes tangible against a dark background. People are especially moved by the craftsmanship, which makes his work so beloved by an ever-growing circle of admirers.
