Hangers - Asante - Ghana (No reserve price)

A beautiful variation of five small pendants from the Asante. They are all zoomorphic and depict an animal. Also with the Senoufo we find small depictions of animals, often the clan's totem animal.
Often they are the subject of a mythological story and an illustration of a proverb.
- crab: "even in a shop full of gold the crab eats palm nuts" (honesty)

- centipede:"if your relationship is a centipede and it dies, then you inherit rings"
- larva
- frog: "the length of a frog is known only after its death"
