Victorian Swiss Silver Key-Wound Pocket Watch, ca. 1880 – Engraved Case
Description
Elegant and authentic Victorian Swiss pocket watch, dating to approximately 1870–1890, made in the classic full hunter style with front and back protective covers.
The watch is powered by a traditional key-wound / key-set mechanical movement, typical for the late 19th century and visible in the photographs.
Case
The case is made of solid silver, with a gilt (gold-washed) interior to protect the movement — a typical feature of quality Victorian Swiss pocket watches.
The back cover is beautifully hand-engraved with floral Victorian motifs and remains in very good condition for its age.
All hinges function properly and the covers close well.

good condition with only minor age-related signs visible upon close inspection

The watch is fitted with a classic Swiss mechanical movement:
