The Benromach Bordeaux Wine Cask is part of the Contrasts Range from the Benromach Distillery in Speyside. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 at 46 % ABV in a 700 ml bottle, this limited single malt was finished in carefully selected Bordeaux red wine casks, giving it a unique character.
Rich aromas of red berries, plums, subtle vanilla, gentle oak, and light smoke greet the nose. On the palate, juicy fruit sweetness blends with wine tannins, delicate spice, and soft peat smoke, leading to a long, warming finish that harmoniously balances the Bordeaux influence with Benromach’s classic smoky elegance.
