Description from the seller
A colourful series of 8 old school posters / lithographs published by P. Out. from circa 1880. These would be great for framing, as they only have some light wear along the edges, and are slightly age toned, but still in very good condition.
Dimensions: 33 × 43 cm.
Blank to verso.
All captioned in five languages: English, Dutch, German, Spanish, and French.
Here the animals featured are:
Swan
Rhinoceros
Hare
Wolf
Wild cat
Steenbok
Gnu
Ox
Originally these were designed in German, as shown by the icon in the bottom right of each - 'JSM' or Verlag Joseph Scholz in Mainz.
These were published by P. Out, Koog aan de Zaan in the Netherlands
We are away from March 16th to April 6th inclusive, so any lots not paid for by the end of March 15th will have to await our return to be shipped. Apologies for any inconvenience
Seller's Story
We are professional booksellers based in France, and have been members of ILAB for many years. We currently hold full membership of SLAM, as well as other organisations. We also sell at fairs and markets across Europe.
We are often found at brocantes and marches, searching for books and prints. We are also always interested in acquiring new stock from individuals, so if you have books or prints to sell, do get in touch.
We are proud to purchase biodegradable packaging and materials. Where possible, all of our book wrap and tape are compostable or re-cyclable. If you do receive any plastic bubble wrap from us - it is because we are re-using items we have received.
