AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Vase “Dampierre”: The nature hymn in crystal

This beautiful vase “Dampierre” is an iconic piece from Maison Lalique, bearing witness to the exceptional craftsmanship continued by Marc Lalique (René’s son). Created in 1948, it offers a vivid ode to the themes close to fauna and flora, and captures the poetry of a spring moment.

The full sculptural decoration is made of satin-finished (matte) crystal, a signature Lalique technique. This matte finish creates a soft, milky material feel, that seems to catch light and bring the motifs forward with tangible precision, in contrast to the crystal purity and the mirror shine of the neck and base.

The vase is in excellent overall condition. It bears the original mark “Lalique France” accurately engraved on the bottom of the foot. We note the presence of a small chip on the neck, which does not diminish the shine and splendor of this light artwork in any way. See last photo.
