A very fine antique 4/4 italian master violin, labeled LORENZO VENTAPANE FABBRICANTE DI STRUMENTI DA CORDE Abita Calata Borgo di Loreto N°. 23. The instrument is in ready to play condition with some tears and wears but no cracks, good old ebony set up, new bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides. Rich brown-reddish color varnish over golden ground shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 582 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 164 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm. Full size. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Insured shipping with DHL worldwide
