This work in Federico Alibrio's ceramic practice is not a simple naturalistic representation, but an exploration of the boundary. The barn owl, historically regarded as the guardian of the threshold, is here portrayed in a formal synthesis that heightens its enigmatic nature.

The sculpture lives on a powerful chromatic dualism:
The head, defined by pale, ethereal tones, seems to belong to the realm of spirit and lunar light.
The body, characterized by a deep blue glaze and a nearly volcanic, tactile texture, anchors the creature to the earth and to the mystery of darkness.

"Between Two Worlds" perfectly embodies this balance: the passage between the tangible and the intangible, between earth and sky. Alibrio's mastery lies in his ability to render the predator's silence almost audible, transforming the ceramic into a symbol of introspection and ancestral wisdom.

The Italian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always in search of inspiration to grow through new experiences.

Graduated in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he works in sculpture and painting. He has participated in, and continues to participate in, high-profile cultural exhibitions and symposia, demonstrating commitment and seriousness in facing sculptural practice.

Reality itself is the greatest source of inspiration. His passions are: wildlife (sensitive to endangered species) and trees. His aim is to showcase the beauty of nature.
