XXXL Triptych consisting of three panels of 80 by 60 cm each, suitable in portrait or landscape orientation - NO RESERVE
PopLéa is much more than an artist’s name — it is a carefully preserved pseudonym behind which hides a major figure on the international art scene, several times awarded and exhibited at the world’s most prestigious fairs.
Under this name, the artist chooses freedom and anonymity to return to the essence: pure emotion, the direct relationship between the work and the viewer.
Connoisseurs already know that some works signed with her real name reach gallery records above €15,000, and are part of private collections in Paris, London, New York, Monaco, and Dubai.
Winner of several international distinctions for the excellence and uniqueness of her approach, he or she has been rewarded in Florence, Barcelona, Geneva, and New York for contributions to contemporary art.
Her creations have been shown in group exhibitions alongside world-renowned artists at events such as FIAC (Paris), Art Basel (Switzerland), ARCO (Madrid), Art Miami and Art Shanghai.
PopLéa deliberately cultivates mystery: no public photos, no official interviews, only works that circulate discreetly among discerning collectors and selective galleries. This media silence has only heightened the interest of contemporary art enthusiasts seeking authenticity and rarity.
Each PopLéa work is unique, certified, and comes directly from the artist’s studio.
She has never been exhibited or offered in a gallery before sale.
Some pieces from this series have already been acquired by collectors in Switzerland, France, and the United States, confirming PopLéa’s rapid rise in the international art market.
DESCRIPTION
Triptych Soulage Lumen is a monumental work inspired by the philosophy of Pierre Soulages, where black is no longer a color but a living material, revealing light.
Composed of three architectural panels, this triptych explores the vibration of black through the layering of strata, textures, and vertical rhythms. The surface, worked in relief, catches and reflects light according to the viewing angle, creating a subtle kinetic artwork that changes throughout the day.
Each panel acts as a visual breath:
– the first absorbs light,
– the second structures it,
– the third returns it.
Together they form a sculptural presence on the wall, at the intersection between painting, architecture, and matter.
HOW TO FRAME:
The painting is sold unframed (for presentation purposes only), mounted on a wooden stretcher, and I recommend an American cradle frame (standard stretcher).
The artist PopLéa:
If you own this work, you hold an authentic piece signed PopLéa.
But you should know: PopLéa is a pseudonym.
She has not yet revealed her identity — voluntarily. This choice is part of a broader artistic project, a form of experiment:
Create without a name, without status, without biography.
The work alone. The image alone. What it evokes. What you feel.
The artist behind PopLéa is already exhibited, recognized, and collected — but chose to explore another path, freer. To reject filters, codes, and discourses.
To refuse that it is always the same people — galleries, experts, networks — who decide what has value.
Perhaps what you own is the beginning of something.
Or perhaps it is simply a work that speaks to you, here and now.
Both options are beautiful.
And in the end, perhaps that is true luxury.
The work is accompanied by a paper certificate of authenticity including a few hairs from the artist to prove its DNA
The work is hand-signed, delivered ready to hang, in a 4x4 packaging with insurance included.
Good bidding
