AMA • Pope (1985) Aurora Falso Originale is a resin Pop Art lamp, silver, edition 5/30, 20 × 9 × 9 cm, hand-signed, made in France, 2025.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) – « Aurora Falso Originale » – 5/30
After the success of the AMA Aurora Borealis series — copied, imitated and sometimes censored in the name of “brand ownership” — Pope returns with a new artistic provocation.
This time, homage is paid to Italy, a country of style, excess and subtle irony: here is “Aurora Falso Originale.”
A unique Pop Art lamp, where the base faces forward with “TAROCCO,” while its opposite sides feature two contradictory messages: “NON” and “COMPRARE.” A paradoxical invitation that loudly declares what contemporary art suggests: by no means buy… but desire it even more.
By day, a chrome teddy bear with provocative reflections.
By night, a spectacle of luminous auroras lighting up your walls.
Two faces, one irony: turning the fake into an authentic work of art.
Limited edition of 30 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper and reinforced cardboard) with signature on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (steady, faded transitions, simple transitions)
- Power supply via USB cord with switch (provided)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of the talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective invites you into its world of vibrant colors and varied materials.
Sculptures, paintings and installations, the collective passionately uses a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
Come discover even more of our universe and works on social networks:
The AMA collective primarily draws inspiration from the world around it, but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a memento or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its passion for urban art through street art and pop art creations (limited or not), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, as well as products from the food and fashion industries (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
