Description from the seller

Very beautiful maritime navigation lantern for starboard (right-hand side), recognizable by its thick green glass lens and the inscription "STARBOARD"
• Operational condition: The oil reservoir is removable and the burner mechanism is fully functional. The brass knob turns smoothly to raise and lower the wick.
• Lens: Convex green glass, crack-free, offering a nice light diffusion.
• Technical details:
• Weight: 500 grams (weight verified on a precision scale).
• Construction: Traditional assembly with rivets and period welds. The underside is perforated with original ventilation openings for combustion.
• Overall condition: Very good state of preservation. The interior has retained its traces of old use (soot), a sign of its maritime authenticity.
An ideal collectible for loft-style or nautical interior decoration, or to be rewired.
