All automatic watches should be wound at first use; relying on wrist movement alone may not fully wind the movement.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid possible damage to the watch mechanism, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is advisable to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for adjustments, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Remember to reseal the crown properly after changing the settings.)
