AMA • Pope (1985) presents Aurora NotArt, a resin Pop Art sculpture from France, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, edition 3/20, signed and in excellent condition for 2025.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora NotArt" - 3/20
When art dissolves into business.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Counterfeit, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of luxury codes, perceived value, and slogans that govern our era.
"Aurora NotArt" – Not Art, Only Business condenses the era into three simple, almost cynical words, engraved like an advertising truth… and yet transformed into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, at the border of a manifesto.
On the base, the message is blunt:
NOT ART.
And just after, without unnecessary poetry, the phrase completes:
ONLY / BUSINESS.
A cold, assured statement.
A punchline that sounds like a rule of the modern game: this isn’t art… it’s business.
The day: a mirror-like, brilliant, almost clinical icon.
The night: a northern lights of reflections and splinters, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: the spectacle on one side, the truth on the other.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature upon delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fading transitions, simple transitions)
- Electric power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of the talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective takes you into its universe, mixing vibrant colors and varied materials.
Sculptures, paintings and installations, the collective passionately employs a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
The AMA collective mainly draws inspiration from the world around it but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean‑Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat to name just a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its street art and pop art passion (limited edition or not) by addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sports, sneakers…).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to mischievously misappropriate labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unfounded claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding."
