Description from the seller
Bronze sculpture with niche, edition limited to 25 copies by the Spanish sculptor Porto. The sculpture is delivered with a numbered and signed certificate. Pancho Porto (Santiago de Compostela, 1988) began his training in artistic carpentry at the Antonio Failde center in Ourense. In this school he first came into contact with disciplines such as carving, drawing, or modeling, and, most importantly, with workshop work.
Later he enrolled at the Mestre Mateo School of Arts and Trades in Santiago de Compostela, where he studies what will later be his main discipline: sculpture. It is at this school where he already works with materials that will be fundamental in his work, such as steel or clay. Parallel, Porto continues his self-directed training and investigates other materials such as bronze or resins and their multiple uses and finishes.
After this initial training phase, he decides to set up his workshop on the banks of the Sarela River, very close to where he was born. It is here where he begins his particular theoretical and practical research into the relationship between the materials used in each work and the message they convey. This drives him to seek new approaches to communicating and narrating his story. Since then, this has been the usual thread of his works, imparting complexity and depth to his entire body of work, with themes that touch both on social issues and his personal experiences.

- Auditorio Cangas do Morrazo.
