Description from the seller
Born in Dolo near Venice. After studies in surveying and civil engineering in 1957, he spent about fifteen years working on major design and construction projects for roads, refineries, and pipelines in Africa as well as Europe. In 1972 he decided to become a full-time artist, leaving his job and moving to Brussels where he opened his own painting and graphics studio, remaining there until the end of the 1970s before finally relocating to the Netherlands. His painting often echoes Flemish influences, from which he nonetheless distances himself due to a dense use of color and the strong ironic and satirical connotation that emerge especially in his choral/choral paintings.
He has exhibited extensively in prestigious galleries, museums, and fairs in Italy, as well as in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.
This painting, created in 1990, is full of color and authentic beauty, thanks to the artist's mastery in portraying faces and expressions with a complexity and beauty capable of arousing curiosity in its uniqueness.
