Messerschmitt Me-42 Pilot Gold replica, 42 mm stainless steel case with gold PVD finish, automatic ETA 2836-2 movement, black dial with repainted dial, leather strap, limited to 20 pieces (No. 2/20), new, with original box, papers and warranty.
Description from the seller
The B-watch is short for Beobachtungsuhr (observation watch). These watches were used by the flying personnel of the German Luftwaffe during World War II.
In 1940 the War Economy Office obliged various manufacturers to produce B-watches. In a specification, the Reichs-Luftfahrt-Ministerium (RLM) set very high requirements for these watches.
The B-watches uniformly had a diameter of 55 mm. They were worn with a double-riveted strap over the flight suit.
The Messerschmitt ME-42 Pilot Gold is a replica of these great predecessors in the Type B – Pilot version. It is equipped with the Swiss ETA automatic movement ETA 2836-2, gilded with a decorated rotor and with Incabloc shock protection, in the Day-Date version.
The watch is limited to 20 pieces. You are bidding on number 2, an absolutely unworn specimen.
The case is stainless steel with a PVD gold coating, 42 mm in diameter, cream-colored luminous numerals and hands, sapphire glass, display case back, water resistant to 5 atm, and comes with a hand-sewn vintage leather strap.
The case back and the conical crown are also PVD gold-coated.
The certificate numbered 2/20 certifies the rarity of this timepiece "Made in Germany".
Lovers pay well over €800 for such pieces.
