Description from the seller
Julien Coquentin
Saisons noires - First Edition / OOP (Out of Print)
In stock, an extraordinary photographic volume and today very difficult to find on the market: "Saisons noires" by French photographer Julien Coquentin, published in July 2016 by the renowned publishing house Lamaindonne.
The work represents an intimate masterpiece of contemporary photography. After his famous urban projects in Montreal and New York, Coquentin returns to the countryside of Aveyron where he grew up, translating his childhood memories into a dense, lyrical, and at times mysterious visual map. Through intimate portraits, ancestral landscapes, and scenes of daily rural life, the book explores with raw poetry the theme of family memory and the passage of time.
The work, composed of 160 pages (87 color photographs printed on high-quality Fedrigoni Symbol Tatami 150g paper) enriched with poetic texts in French by the author, is completely sold out (Out of Print) with the publisher and is considered a true cult item among art-book and photography monograph collectors.
Condition: Volume in generally excellent condition. Shows negligible signs of wear on the cover, solid binding, interior pages and photographs are perfect.
