Ralf Altrieth presents Tierchen der Nacht - XL, an original hand‑made acrylic painting on canvas from 2021, measuring 105 x 120 cm, signed on the back, produced in France, sold directly by the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Unique artwork directly from the artist's studio, created in acrylic on canvas. Entirely handmade, signed on the back. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
This painting is one of the very last works still available from the artist's 2021-2023 period, a period marked by a density of figures on transparent and vibrant backgrounds.
The photos are taken in natural light, aiming as closely as possible to the real hues. The latter may however vary slightly depending on your screen's color settings.
The work, measuring 105 x 120 cm, creates a face-to-face through its play of overlays and transparency effects.
RALF ALTRIETH is a German painter living in the south of France. He began private artistic training at the age of 14, before joining the Academy of Fine Arts Nürtingen (Germany) at the end of the 1980s.
Also a musician and composer, he paints as he composes music: color is a melody, and the line a rhythm. He works without a preliminary sketch, perpetually seeking what he calls a "rightness." A balance between the structured and the intuitive, which appears when a painting "sounds" right and pulses.
His canvases have been exhibited in France and Germany, notably at MAC Paris, the Théo de Seine gallery (Paris), and the Hartmut Beck gallery (Erlangen). His works are today in private collections around the world.
"Painting is something bigger than me. It lets me go further, see more. I now find that by painting I create myself." (Ralf Altrieth)
