XTC, Mc Dollars red Boxed, a framed sculpture in plastics and wood, 27 × 27 × 6 cm, edition 9/20, created in 2026 in France, signed by hand, in excellent condition with a COA.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cone in a black-framed box for a wall presentation by XTC.
Détournement of the McDonald’s cone. This is not a cardboard McDo cone; it was created from plastic materials and is fully painted and varnished by XTC with fake banknotes.
The frame is part of the artwork. It is supplied with a plastic panel; you can display it with or without, as shown in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The piece sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that was to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumer culture (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
