Small Dogon sculpture carved from a single block of wood.

It is characterized by its clean, minimalist form with two divergent uprights forming a Y-shaped opening at the top.

The surface bears a dark, smooth patina, evidence of use and the natural aging of the wood.

This type of object was traditionally used to access granaries or elevated dwellings in Dogon architecture in Mali.

Petite échelle Dogon sculptée dans un seul morceau de bois. 

Elle se caractérise par sa forme épurée avec deux montants divergents formant une ouverture en Y dans la partie supérieure. 

La surface présente une patine sombre et lisse, témoignant de l’usage et du vieillissement naturel du bois. 

Ce type d’objet était traditionnellement utilisé pour accéder aux greniers ou aux habitations surélevées dans l’architecture Dogon du Mali.
