Description from the seller
Mc Chanel Black Gold cone by XTC.
A détournement of a McDonald's cone, the intersection of luxury and mass consumption.
This is not a cardboard McDoo cone; everything was created from plastic materials and painted by XTC, with plastic gold diamonds.
The glass dome is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered 1/15 below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
Careful, trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in central France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was destined to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes collide with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of plastics and sometimes mineral materials.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
