Montañas y colores (2025) is a work belonging to the series of the same name in which Jesús Poveda explores the relationship between image and object from a minimalist aesthetic. With a format of 16.5 × 11 cm, the pieces are presented as an autonomous artistic object or group in which the painting transcends its traditional support.

The composition revolves around the essential silhouette of a mountain, reduced to an archetypal form suspended in an indeterminate space. The landscape ceases to function as representation to become a sign.

About the artist

Jesús Poveda (Valencia, 1973) is a visual artist and graphic designer. Holder of a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València, he is currently completing the Master in Artistic Production. His work develops through series of contemporary painting and object-based works, where the painting is conceived as an object with symbolic charge and material presence.

With a solid professional track in design and art direction, his work combines traditional painting techniques with a contemporary perspective, exploring the relationship between image, matter, nature and visual culture. His production is geared toward contemporary collectors, offering pieces with their own identity, technical rigor and projection in the medium and long term.

Since 2015 he has participated in solo and group exhibitions in different cultural and artistic spaces, and his work has been presented in contexts linked to contemporary art and sustainability. In recent years, his career has undergone a process of professionalization and consolidation, with presence in specialized media and entry into the gallery circuit
