About the series "Galaxy Stamp"
In Galaxy Stamp, Kobalt invents a language that no one speaks — not even him. An improbable blend of gravity-free Cyrillic and Martian calligraphy vaguely Asian, this writing is supposed to be the most spoken across neighboring galaxies… No point trying to translate it: it says nothing, yet it says it beautifully. A cosmic wink to a communication from very, very far away — or just from another imagination.
Fine Art Print on 300g cotton paper

Biography:
Kobalt, born in Paris in 1970, embodies the trajectory of a polymath artist whose creativity has unfolded from electronic music to contemporary graphic art. Coming from a family where art was already present thanks to his father, a draftsman, Kobalt discovers at a very young age his first passion, musical creation. This passion guides him in his youth, and his early talents lead him to make a bold decision: to invest the money destined to fund his higher education in the creation of his first album.
Distributed by EMI, the album does not meet the hoped-for success, but it marks the beginning of a richly experimental artistic career.
Alongside his musical career, Kobalt entered the world of advertising as a copywriter/creative for the iconic Playboy magazine. For many years, he put his creativity at the service of the publication by creating and producing the magazine’s advertising campaigns.
The turning point of his career comes in 2005 when he becomes a videographer, thus exploring a new facet of the visual world. In 2007, he discovers a passion for photography, adding another artistic string to his bow. In 2010, he successfully founded his own photography agency, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2017, Kobalt made a radical choice to sell his agency to fully embrace graphic art, influenced by his son, who became a major figure in global street art. A pioneer of computer-aided artistic creation, Kobalt stands out with more than 2,500 works sold in galleries and online to date.
His artistic approach is marked by bold use of humor, provocation, and anachronisms, with a particular penchant for appropriating magazine covers—a style that makes him instantly recognizable.
Despite the digital era, Kobalt has chosen to stay on the fringe of social networks, preserving a certain privacy. Today, he uses all available digital tools to bring his creations to life, continuing to push the boundaries of artistic expression with a subtle blend of inspiration, innovation, and humor.
