Pair of wall mirrors in Louis XV style, dating to 1980–1990, with carved wooden frames, gilded finish and glass mirrors measuring 45 cm high by 32 cm wide (internal 30 by 26 cm) and made in Italy in good used condition.
Description from the seller
Elegant pair of Louis XV style mirrors, defined by their graceful silhouette and refined decorative craftsmanship, fully inspired by the French Rococo aesthetic of the 18th century.
The carved wooden frames feature soft, flowing lines typical of the Louis XV style, where curvature replaces rigid geometry, creating visual lightness and decorative harmony.
The structure is enriched with rocaille motifs and sculpted relief decorations, including elegant shell elements and ornamental scrolls. These finely executed details faithfully reflect the decorative vocabulary of period French furniture.
The gilded finish, enhanced by a deliberately aged patina, accentuates the depth of the carvings and adds visual richness. Natural tonal variations and signs of time contribute to the authentic vintage charm of the pieces.
The mirrors display an elegantly irregular shape, perfectly aligned with the Rococo language, characterized by movement and fluidity. The glass shows normal age-related traces consistent with vintage pieces.
The mirrors are in good overall condition, with minor and natural signs of wear consistent with age and use.
