Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle’s Intensité(s) is an original 2021 oil and pastel painting, 160 cm by 210 cm, depicting an interior scene in a figurative expressionist style, signed by hand and shipped unstretched from France with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
A young artist exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in September 2025 for the day dedicated to Young French Creation, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle is a French expressionist artist born in 1982. Drawing, painting, collage, and performance are the languages he explores with strength and spontaneity.
This painting is the result of the collaboration between the artist and contemporary dancer Lisa Langlois. It was created during a live performance with the dancer. Lisa was dancing, and Laurent was drawing in motion. You can watch the performance video here: https://vimeo.com/615161489?fl=pl&fe=ti
It is an ode to dance, to freedom, and to desire. The overall piece feels very “raw,” “skinned,” and “sensitive,” qualities intrinsic to German figurative expressionism, a courant with which the artist fully identifies.
The artwork will be shipped unstretched, canvas only, in a box with bubble wrap. The lower edge of the canvas is slightly irregular in length; the best is to hang it directly on your wall, without a frame.
Fast and careful shipping. It is also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Figurative expressionism, femininity, contemporary dance, sensuality
