Suntory Whisky, a remarkable distillery

The history of the Suntory Whisky group is linked to the dream of one man, Shinjiro Torii. A pioneer and passionate about wines and spirits, he launched his own wine in 1907 and in 1923 founded the Yamazaki distillery, recognized today as the oldest in Japan.

Subsequently, the Suntory group developed its activities and became internationally renowned. After acquiring Château Lagrange in 1983, Suntory acquired the French group Orangina Schweppes, in 2013 Ribena and Lucozade, two British beverage brands, and in 2014 Beam, a reference among spirits.
