Cor Schaap (1968) - Strandgezicht

Impressionist Cor Schaap grew up in a fishing family and has felt a deep connection to the coast since his youth. This natural bond forms an inexhaustible source of inspiration and is central to his impressionist oil paintings. Schaap works both en plein air and in his seaside studio.

His ongoing challenge is to give each work its own, original character, with his personal artistic touch playing a decisive role. His paintings are now part of the collections of renowned galleries, including Galerie Gabriëls in The Hague, since 1974 a well-established name in the art world.
