Two coins from Australia's official commemorative coin series issued to mark the 2000 Sydney Olympics:
**Hockey Coin:** Number 5/28, the 5th coin in the series.
Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, inscribed "ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2000".
Reverse: A female hockey player in action, accompanied by the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games emblem.
Note: Hockey was already a women's Olympic sport at the time, and the Australian women's hockey team achieved great success at the Olympics.
**Softball Coin:** Number 16/28, the 16th coin in the series.
Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, inscribed "ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2000".
Reverse: A female softball player swinging a bat, accompanied by the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games emblem.
Card description: Softball became an official medal sport at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and at that time it was the only Olympic sport that was limited to women.
