Beautiful original unpublished work created by the contemporary painter Sergio Zampieri (Rome, 1968)
Fascinating work. The fusion of the two profiles is very evocative: it is as if it tells of a sense of deep, almost spiritual, connection.
The metallic colors, especially blue, gold and bronze, create a gorgeous contrast with the dark background.

The painting was executed in two stages with mixed technique, oil and acrylic.
In the first phase, for the base subject, exclusively oil colors were used to allow a perfect fusion of the forms starting from a dark Payne's gray background and proceeding with the addition of lighter shades such as white and gray for the monochromatic realization of the human figures.

After the oils had dried, the final decoration was applied with iridescent acrylic pastes in gold yellow, fine gold, silver, bronze and pearl white.

The final effect, as seen in the photographs, is the result of a very material work in its iridescences with a play of light and shadow that shapes itself depending on the position of the light source.
