Ian Monroe (born 1972) created Event structure in 2007, a limited edition mixed‑technique silkscreen (edition 100) measuring 36 x 36 cm, in fair condition, hand signed and dated on the back, produced in the United Kingdom.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ian Monroe (B1972) is an artist based in London. Monroe was born in Cooperstown, New York and spent his childhood in Reston, Virginia, a planned community 25 miles outside of Washington, he received his MA from Goldsmiths College, the University of London in 2002. Monroe came to public attention in 2003 when the Saatchi Gallery featured a large-scale work from the artist’s MA show. The artist was included in ‘Edge of the Real’ 2004, a group painting show at the Whitechapel Gallery. ‘They Built Upon It’ (2005) at Haunch of Venison London was accompanied by the first major catalog of Monroe’s work. Monroe was recently commissioned by St Johns College, Oxford to design a major public commission for the university.
