Hendrick en Jacob Keur – Statenbijbel, a Dutch leather-bound edition from Dordrecht 1730, comprising about 1,406 pages in multiple parts and measuring 39 x 24 x 14 cm, in poor condition with a loose text block, wear, moisture marks, and restored pages, including 25 plates and 5 maps.

N.N. - Bible. This is the entire Holy Scripture, containing all the Canonical Books of the Old and New Testament. Faithfully translated from the original languages into our Dutch language by order of the High/Mighty Lords States General of the United Netherlands and according to the decision of the National Synod held at Dordrecht in the years 1618 and 1619. - Dordrecht, Jacob and Hendrik Keur, 1730 - Old Testament + New Testament + the books called Apocrypha - (46) 332 leaves (=664 pp), (4) 144 leaves (=288 pp), (28) 169 leaves (=338 pp); (4) 58 leaves (=116 pp) - blind-stamped leather over wooden boards with brass corner pieces (2 are a little loose) and clasps - 39 x 24 x 14 cm
Poor. The book block is loose in the binding and weak: several gatherings/pages are coming loose, first and last gatherings loose; the right edge of some pages slightly frayed. The right edge of the frontispiece frayed, a hole in the frontispiece. Wormholes/stripes at the top, in the middle or bottom inside margin of about 50 pages. Interior browned, here and there (a) place(s), black spots on about 20 pages (see photos, all shown), moisture spot on about 40 pages as well as light moisture spot in the margin of about 80 pages, black specks in the inside margin of about 10 pages. Worm-eaten corners/caused by dog-ears. Chip from the margin of about 20 pages. Restoration of 2 leaves. Hole in 5 leaves, crack in the margin of about 20 pages.
Contains still 25 plates each with 6 engravings (many loose, margins frayed; chip from some, loss of image on 4 plates – see photos) and 5 maps – all depicted

2. Peregrination or forty-year journey - bottom edge frayed
3. Plan of Jerusalem - bottom edge frayed
4. The promised land Canaan - edge frayed, rips in edges, here and there into the image
5. Description of Pauli’s journeys - edge frayed, tear under each of the three folds, respectively 1, 4 cm into the image, and 1 cm
