Painting - "By the River" - 30 x 40 cm, varnish, oil on canvas, certificate of authorship.
Author - Piotr Sujka (born 1971).
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the departments of painting and mural painting. He focuses primarily on sacred painting. He is the author of polychrome decorations in churches in Albania (Tirana, Lezhë, Balldren, Shkodër, Derven and many others) where he lived and worked for 10 years. In Poland, he created polychrome decorations in churches in Warsaw, Lublin, Łęczna, Puławy.
His passion is predominantly figurative art.
In easel painting, the dominant subject is the female figure, a portrait presented in a simplified manner, distant from realism but also distant from abstraction.
As a versatile artist, he paints landscapes en plein air, realistic, sometimes bordering on abstraction, thereby documenting the places he has visited. The painting "By the River" originates from 2025 and belongs to the cycle "Polish Roads". The work is painted on canvas with dimensions of 30x40 cm.
