Description from the seller
MiLo – “Gravity of Shadows”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
“Gravity of Shadows” captures the quiet drama of descent and weight. Dark streams of pigment fall from the upper edge of the canvas, stretching downward like shadows pulled by an unseen force. The drips evoke rainfall, erosion, or the slow collapse of form into atmosphere.
The composition plays with tension between control and surrender. Beneath the cascading black, layered pale tones and fractured textures emerge, creating depth and subtle movement. What first appears as spontaneous gesture gradually reveals rhythm, balance, and structure.
