This antique silver grape scissors are very nicely decorated with grape clusters and grapevines.
The scissors were made in Schoonhoven, the Netherlands and are, among other things, stamped with a Minerva head mark M.

A grape scissors, like other dining tools, is placed on the table. The scissors stand on small feet. These feet ensure that the grape scissors sit slightly above the tablecloth.

With a grape scissors one can easily clip grapes from a bunch at the table. It is a pair of scissors with short, narrow blades with a blunt tip and long arms. The points are blunt so that the grapes are not damaged when cutting.
