A story about the painting:
In a world where most trees bloomed in classic white or pink, at the edge of an old park stood a bluebell tree. He was a patient giant who had carried only green foliage for almost ten years while he dug deep into the earth for support.
One morning in late April, the small miracle occurred: his crown transformed into a sea of violet-blue bells. People paused, for blue is a rare color in nature—it symbolizes longing for the infinite and distant horizons. In the branches, bees buzzed, drawn by the sweet scent, while the blue petals drifted to the ground like gentle dreams. The tree reminded everyone that true beauty often needs time to grow, and that a single moment in full bloom is worth the wait.
Yi Zheng Lin was born in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. He studied teaching, then law. In 1991 he emigrated to Germany, attended a language school in Frankfurt/Main, and studied law in Giessen. Since 1999 he has worked as a freelance artist. He lives and works in Germany and China. Exhibitions (selection): Gießen, Siegen, Mainz, Friedberg, Offenbach, Frankfurt/Main, Potsdam, Berlin, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Gera, Örebro (Sweden), Xiamen (China), Fuzhou (China), Beijing (China), Hong Kong, Taiwan.
