Joseph R. Salas Martinez Cuban artist and designer born in 1949; since 1972 he studied typography and graphic design at the San Alejandro Academy in Havana and participated in the design course of Professor German Sittauer.
In 1973, he began working as a graphic designer and participated in the III Juvenile Hall of Art; three years later, in 1976, he joined the Hermanos Saiz Association. In 1981, he founded the group «Temps libre» with four other designers. In 1992, he joined the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and began to work as an independent artist. In 1997, he joined the “Landscape of the Project.”

1989: Mention in the 7th Book Art competition in the interior design category, Havana, Cuba.
