Description from the seller
A beautifully classical still life painting. An old jug and a copper bowl are the focal points of this still life, painted in warm tones with graceful light. Painted in the characteristic technique and style of the artist Rinus Manschot. The painting is housed in a classical frame; the frame is not new but looks good.
CV
Rinus Manschot is a highly experienced artist who has been a professional visual artist for more than 50 years. His work is now known by many people; several of his artworks hang in the homes of satisfied buyers.
The strength of this artist lies in his ability to create high-level art in a wide range of styles and techniques. Many years ago, Rinus studied and taught at the private academy Daca in Alphen aan den Rijn. In recent years, oil painting has been the technique he works with. The classical still life is central, but landscape and, to a lesser extent, portraiture are also subjects he chooses.
In addition to creating art himself, Rinus still offers drawing and painting lessons on a limited basis in his studio/gallery. He also produces commissioned paintings; his many years of experience as a teacher and his routine prove valuable when carrying out a commission. In the coming period he will devote much time to expanding the gallery collection.
