Description from the seller
VULCANO Nº40
Description
Vulcano Nº40 evokes a primordial horizon where incandescent matter meets a deep, silent void. The composition is structured in two essential planes: a textured lower field, rich in reliefs and stratifications suggesting solidified lava, earthly crust, and inner movement; and an upper dark plane, almost absolute, acting as a space of containment, mystery, and stillness.
The transition between both planes is atmospheric and diffused rather than abrupt, creating a sensation of latent heat rising and dissolving into darkness. The work conveys strength, balance, and controlled tension, inviting slow and physical contemplation, where volcanic energy is perceived more as a presence than an eruption.
The visual perception of the artwork may vary depending on light incidence and viewing angle, revealing subtle nuances, shifts in depth, and delicate reflections across the varnished surface. This interaction with light is an essential part of the piece, adding visual richness and dynamism while preserving its sober and mineral character.
