Paolo KOZMA - ALIVE

“ALIVE” is part of the larger project “Je ne regrette rien”, a concept performance created by me on the music of Rammstein, during which I painted an extraordinary 70-meter-long canvas.

This artwork is not just a painting — it is the living trace of a powerful performance moment.

Created during a live performative painting act, this work emerged from choreography, narrative, and specially selected music. The canvas became a stage, and my body became the brush, translating movement and emotion directly into color.

Dominated by vibrant, raw green tones, “ALIVE” radiates energy, renewal, and intense presence. Every gesture carries the pulse of the performance, making the piece authentic and impossible to reproduce.

As a performer artist having good skills in physical & contemporary dance, I start from my body as a prime matter.

I treat painting as an unique live performance in which I am influenced by the music, the story, and the emotions that arise during the dance.

My practice transforms the act of painting into a live, performative event, where movement, endurance, and presence become tools for image-making.

The artwork will be shipped as a rolled, unstretched canvas for safe delivery. Packaged in tube box and wrapped properly.
Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival completely normal for rolled canvas. Minor waves or creases may be visible upon arrival, which is completely normal for rolled canvas. These will disappear once the canvas is stretched or framed by a professional framer.

All my shipments will be made through DHL EXPRESS or a similar company, always trying to guarantee the safety, care and efficient delivery of the work. However, delays that may occur in the case of goods are beyond my control; I will always be attentive to tracking the shipment and any incident that may arise, being at the customer's disposal to provide appropriate assistance and support.
