My name is Davide Angelillo, I am a self-taught artist whose expressive research roots in an innate passion for line and color. After an debut focused on figurative study, I embarked on a path of subtraction that led me toward abstract expressionism. In this dimension, I found the freedom to give voice to my deepest emotions, freeing them from form to transform them into pure visual energy. Each work is not only a creative act, but a bridge stretched toward the observer: an invitation to discover universal sensations through a vibrant and instinctive chromatic language.

"My mark: Between Waves and Force"
In my works I try to tell the two sides of life: calm and energy. To do this, I created my personal symbol that I repeat on every canvas: the wavy brushstrokes.
These waves are my signature. I always paint them first, in the background, with a light hand and soft colors. To me they represent gentleness and serenity. They are like a deep breath or the calm movement of the sea; they are the most spiritual and subtle part of ourselves.
Above these waves, I then intervene with the spatula. Here the gesture changes: it becomes rapid, decisive, and full of color. These patches and streaks in the foreground represent power. It is the concrete side of life, made of passions, clashes, and moments of great momentum.
In every one of my paintings you will always see this contrast: underneath there is the peace of my waves flowing freely, above there is the force of color exploding. It is my way of saying that, despite the chaos and impulse of every day, within us there always flows a current of harmony that never stops.
