Description from the seller
In Bart: Mamba Ascendancy, the artist reinterprets an iconic figure of contemporary culture through a scene of suspended elevation. Captured at the pinnacle of an explosive jump, the body seems to float in a moment of absolute tension, between raw impulse and inner mastery.
The post-impressionist aesthetics structure the entire composition: thick impasto, visible brushstrokes, bursts of material, and circular movements convey energy rather than anatomical precision. The muscles are suggested by the painterly gesture itself, sculpted by color and texture rather than by academic realism.
The face, deliberately imperfect and treated in a human and pictorial way, reinforces the emotional dimension of the work. The arena’s dramatic lighting cuts through the silhouette while the crowd appears only through blurred, expressive shapes, enhancing the psychological solitude at the heart of the tumult.
Subtly integrated into the overall movement, a black serpent blends into the swirling paint. Almost concealed in the matter, it becomes a symbol of mentality, evolution and heritage — an inner presence more than a simple figurative element.
More than a sports scene, Bart: Mamba Ascendancy explores the transformation of rebellious energy into transcendent strength. The piece emphasizes psychological intensity, chromatic vibration, and the power of gesture, offering an explosive, textured, and timeless composition.
Limited edition of 10 copies — one example offered: 1/10.
Each print is numbered and signed. The edition will be definitively closed after the tenth copy, with no reprint in this format.
