Flavio Marinoni (1955-2020) was an Italian photographer, visual artist, and camera operator. A graduate of the Andrea Fantoni School of Art in Bergamo, he began his career collaborating with Milan-based photojournalistic agencies and later worked extensively in news, reportage, and documentary photography, including assignments in Africa and Asia.
Marinoni was a registered journalist and founder of a company specializing in aerial photography and video production. He also worked as a steadicam operator, collaborating with major Italian and international television networks. Beyond photography, he was a painter and sculptor, known for his intense curiosity, sense of freedom, and deep engagement with life and the world around him.
Flavio Marinoni lived in Rovetta, Bergamo, with his wife, the artist Renata Nonis, and his son Morgan, who also became a photographer. He passed away on 29 March 2020 in Milan at the age of 65.
